Okay, aside from the fact that one bill is much larger than the other (owing to International Roaming when I was in New York), can you spot the apparent mistake on my recent Orange bill?
March 1st:
This month's charges
Charges excluding VAT 86.42
VAT at 17.50% 5.59
Total £92.01
Feb 1st:
This month's charges
Charges excluding VAT 33.62
VAT at 17.50% 5.88
Total £39.50
How much VAT sir? 17.5%? Not if you're roaming outside the EU it seems:
from the horses mouth:
"UK VAT is not applicable on calls made or received whilst you are outside of the European Union."
Well that solves that little mystery... and I'll be thankful for the lower bill than it might have been.
