After 10 days working my arse off in Boston (which meant I missed England's Euro2004 matches against Coatia, Switzerland and Portugal), and another busy week at work when I came back, I was in much need of a holiday. So I had two.
First off was a quick trip up to Georgie's mate's house in Penrhyndeudraeth, NW Wales(a mere 300 miles from Winchester on a Friday afternoon, urgh) for a weekend of beering, chilling, camping, badminton, grassboarding (what?) and best of all... barbequing.
After returning on Sunday, we then had an 4am start the next day to get to Gatwick for our flight to Malaga. Once again we stayed at Benamara Dos Hermanas near Puerto Banus on the Costa del Sol, but alas this year we could only stay for 8 days. The weather was infinitely better than the UK, so after lazy days sitting in the garden, playing head-tennis in the pool and eating out in nice restaurants, Georgie, her mum and I all returned nicely browned and rejuvenated on Monday evening.
...and I've got another 9 days holiday at the end of August when Georgie finishes her Industrial Placement. We're hoping to get good deal to go to somewhere in Croatia, fingers crossed.
